Sahyog is an application developed by the Survey of India (SOI) National Mapping Agency (NMA) under the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt of India to gather information from the users for creating the India map. The application collects points of interest (POI) data from users and stores it in a central repository for later usage.
It is designed to provide easy access to information about all the points of interest in India, POIs database being updated with every change in the database. POIs are collected from a variety of sources such as government departments, PSUs, organizations, academic institutions, institutions, hotels, restaurants, and gas stations. It is an initiative by the SOI to make it convenient for the users to provide the information.
